What does Kalon mean?

Kalon (ka-LON) is Greek for beautiful, or beauty. Genesis 1:31 says that God saw all He had made and called it very good — kalon. In that context, kalon reaches beyond aesthetic beauty into ethical and moral goodness, pointing to our dignity as people made in the image of God.

What is Christian counseling?

Christian counseling brings together sound psychological care and biblical truth to support healing, growth, and lasting change.

How do I schedule an appointment?

Call us at (229) 234-7337 or (850) 778-1460, or reach out by email, and our team will help you find the right fit and get you scheduled.

How long do counseling sessions last?

Individual sessions run 50 minutes. Couples sessions run 75 minutes.

My church has said they'll help pay for my counseling. Do you work with churches?

Yes — we're a church-partnering counseling ministry and are glad to work with your church.

Do you offer a discount for pastors and their families?

Yes, we offer a reduced session fee for active clergy and their immediate family members. Just ask about this when you reach out.

Do you see clients who don't come from a Christian perspective?

​We counsel from a distinctly Christian perspective while warmly welcoming clients from a variety of backgrounds. Everyone is at a different place in their journey, and we want you to feel respected, supported, and genuinely cared for — with your own values and goals honored throughout.
Our clinicians meet all licensure requirements for Georgia and/or Florida and thoughtfully integrate effective therapeutic approaches within a Christian framework. If it seems another provider might be a better fit, we'll gladly help you find the right support.

What issues can counseling help with?

Counseling can help with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, grief, stress, trauma, life transitions, and more.

Do you provide counseling for couples?

Yes. Marriage and couples counseling helps partners strengthen communication, rebuild connection, and feel close, understood, and emotionally safe again.

Do you work with children and teens?

Yes! Our counselors provide therapeutic support to children and families navigating social, emotional, or behavioral concerns.

What are your fees?

Individual session fees range from $125–$175. Couples session fees range from $180–$250, depending on your therapist.

Do you accept insurance?

We work on a fee-for-service basis and don't accept or file insurance on your behalf. We can provide a medical receipt if you'd like to pursue reimbursement — you'll need to call your insurance company directly to check your out-of-network mental health coverage.
HSA and FSA funds can also be used to cover counseling services.

Why don't you accept insurance directly?

We believe your care should be confidential and shaped by your goals — not dictated by a managed care company. Staying outside of insurance lets us format treatment around what matters to you rather than an insurer's mandates.

What is your cancellation policy?

​We require 24-hour notice to cancel. Appointments canceled with less notice — except in an emergency — are subject to a late-cancellation charge equal to the session fee.

How long does counseling take?

It varies by each client's goals and needs. After a thorough initial assessment, your therapist can give you a clearer sense of the timeline. Some people come weekly for as little as three months; others invest in the process for over a year. On average, counseling runs 6–9 months.

Is counseling confidential?

​Yes. Sessions are confidential, with limited exceptions required by law for safety concerns.
