GENERAL QUESTIONS
What does Kalon mean?
Kalon (ka-LON) is Greek for beautiful or beauty. Genesis 1:31 says, “God saw all that he had made, and it was very good (kalon). And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.” In the context of Genesis 1, kalon extends beyond aesthetic beauty to include ethical and moral implications, and points to our dignity as creatures made in the image of God.

Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flex Spending Accounts (FSA) can also be used to cover counseling services.
WHY DON'T YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE DIRECTLY?
We believe that your mental health care should be confidential and not dictated by managed care companies. By not taking insurance directly, we are able to format your treatment to match your goals and values rather than the mandates of the insurance company.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require a 24 hour cancellation notice. Appointments canceled less than 24 hours (except in the case of an emergency) are subject to a late cancellation charge equal to the session fee.

Is counseling confidential?
Yes. Counseling sessions are confidential, with limited exceptions required by law for safety concerns.

I have been referring church members and visitors to Christian counselors for more than 40 years, and I have never been as pleased with the results. I have seen individuals and couples whose lives have been transformed by the power of the Gospel as communicated through Dusty. Significant, positive change has been the norm, rather than the exception, in the people I've referred to Rev. Hart. Dave Dorst, DMin
